Prerequisites

• sFiles 1.63 or later is installed.
• You have access to the sFiles Manager Lightning App and its Utility tab (available via the sFiles Manager permission set).
• You are assigned sFiles admin permissions.

Purpose

The sFiles Manager Utility tab provides tools for getting metadata information about various SharePoint contents, such as the IDs of sites, document libraries, and folders.

Tool Navigation

The navigation pane on the left side of the page displays a list of available tools as well as which Tenant those tools will use to connect to SharePoint. Changing the current Tenant means changing the SharePoint domain in which the tools will search.

ID Search Utility

The ID Search Utility lets admins browse SharePoint sites, document libraries, and folders to get their IDs. Vice versa, the tool also provides a way to search for an item based on an ID.

The tool provides three methods of searching: browse for folder, search by path, and search by ID.

Browse for Folder

Browsing lets admins search SharePoint contents one level at a time. First, admins must search and select a site within their SharePoint. Next, they must search and select a document library within the selected site. Finally, they search for a folder within that library root folder, then a folder beneath that selection, and so on.

Search by Path

Searching by path lets admins paste the URL of a SharePoint item to find its ID. Refer to Id Search Utility: Searching by path for instructions.

Search by ID

Searching by ID lets admins paste the ID of a SharePoint item to find its name and location. Refer to Id Search Utility: Searching by Id for instructions.

Custom Column Utility

The Custom Column Utility lets admins view what custom columns are available in a given document library, including the labels and API names of those columns. Simply select a site and library to display its columns in a table.
