Some organizations require sFiles to be translated into another language. With the sFiles Fall '23 release, this is now possible!

Prerequisites

  1. You must have a version of sFiles 1.45 (Fall '23) or later set up and running in your organization.

Overview

sFiles allows you to edit or change the language of any text that is displayed to the user within the sFiles app. This includes the user interface of the sFiles component (internal and experience cloud) and the sFiles Admin Panel UI as well as any errors or notifications that appear to the end user.

Initial Language Setup

  1. Enable the Translation Workbench: Go to Salesforce Setup > Translation Language Settings and click enable.
  2. Add a supported language and identify translators.

Steps to Change or Translate an Individual Label

  1. Go to Salesforce Setup > Custom Labels
  2. Click on the name of a label you would like to change.
  3. Under Local Translations / Overrides, Click New Local Translations / Overrides.
  4. Select the Language.
    1. NOTE: Only languages added in Initial Language Setup (above) will be included.
  5. Input the text that you would like to replace the label.
  6. Click Save.

Label Identification

  1. To identify the location of the label in the sFiles application, please view the custom label's description or see our Label Translation Resource Guide (sfiles.io) to determine the name of the label you are trying to change.
