Overview

The sFiles managed package provides an Admin Panel configuration page where admins can easily set up sFiles for the first time or configure sFiles for a given Salesforce object. This article explains how to allow the Admin Panel to make configuration changes and how to control which users are allowed to use the Admin Panel.

NOTE: If you have sFiles version 1.63 or later installed, a button is included in Step 0 of the Admin Panel that authorizes the Admin Panel via permission set. Only refer to these steps if you are on an earlier version or that button is not working as expected.

Steps

1. Navigate to the App Manager in Salesforce Setup.

   

2. Select Manage from the action menu of the sFiles Wizard Connected App.

   

3. Verify that the Permitted Users field is set to "Admin approved users are pre-authorized." If not, click Edit Policies, set Permitted Users to that value, then click Save.

   

   NOTE: You may receive a notification saying, "Enabling this option will result in all users currently using this app being denied access," but sFiles users will not be affected.

4. To control which Profiles should have access to the Admin Panel:

   1. Click Manage Profiles under the Profiles section on the sFiles Wizard page.

   2. Select which Profiles you would like to grant Admin Panel access.

   3. Click Save.

   

5. To control which Permission Sets should have access to the Admin Panel:

   1. Click Manage Permission Sets under the Permission Sets section on the sFiles Wizard page.

   2. Select which Permission Sets you would like to grant Admin Panel access.

   3. Click Save.

   

6. Any users that are assigned those Profiles or Permission Sets can now access the Admin Panel.
