UPDATE: With the introduction of the guided step-by-step Experience Cloud Setup Wizard, we recommend you run the wizard instead of following these manual steps. 

In order to run the wizard, go to Salesforce Setup > Installed Packages > sFiles > Configure > Experience Cloud Setup Wizard. 
Before running the wizard, be sure to set the object up internally. Follow this article to prepare your Salesforce to run the Experience Cloud Wizard: Preparing to run the Experience Cloud Wizard.

Prerequisites

• sFiles Community license must be enabled. If you have sFiles Enterprise, you may need to contact support to enable Experience Cloud features.
• You have read and understand the Best Practices for sFiles for Experience Cloud .
• sFiles is properly set up for the organization.
• A Named Principal Named Credential is set up (How to configure sFiles to use Named Principal authentication).
• sFiles is set up internally for the object you want to connect in Experience Cloud (How to add sFiles to an object). 
• You have made sure that field-level security allows access to sFiles fields for the given user profile. Additionally, make sure that the profile has access to the "fileforcem1.SharePointUtilsCommunity" apex class.

Steps

Before you get started, make sure that you have a Named Principal authenticated Named Credential, as you cannot use "Per User" authentication in Experience Cloud. For the scope of this document, we will assume that we are setting Salesforce's "Account" object for Experience Cloud and that Account is already set up internally for sFiles. As an example use case for this scenario, let's say that you have set up a Partner Experience Cloud in Salesforce to allow your partners to upload files to their folder inside SharePoint.  

Create a New Object Setting

1. In SharePoint, for the desired Document Library, create a new column called SalesforceId. This column is required to enforce Salesforce sharing rules for record visibility. 
2. From Salesforce Setup, navigate to: Custom Code | Custom Metadata Types.
3. Click Manage Records next to SharePoint Object Settings.
4. Find the object that you want set up for Community. For example, if it's on Account, click on the Edit next to Account's SharePoint Object Settings. 
5. Under Folder Custom Field Default Value, we will need to automatically set the Salesforce Id into the new Salesforceld SharePoint field we created. Add the following to the field:  

   SalesforceId:[Id]

   This tells sFiles to look for the SalesforceId column inside SharePoint and then sets the Salesforce object's Id whenever and upload occurs.
6. Click Save.
7. Now Clone this Account SharePoint Object Setting to make a new setting specifically for Experience Cloud use.
8. Enter a label and SharePoint Object Settings Name (e.g., Experience Cloud Account).
9. Select the object in Salesforce Object field (e.g., Account).
10. For SharePoint Folder Id Field, select SharePoint Folder Id. This field should exist if you have run through the object setup wizard for this object and set up the object for internal sFiles use.
11. For Named Credential Name, insert the name of the Named Principal Named Credential record.
12. For Document Library Id, Site Id, and Root Folder Id use the sFiles ID Utility to find the correct values. (Using the ID Search Utility).
13. For SharePoint Custom Columns, add columns you would like to show in Experience Cloud using the following format: a label and SharePoint column name pair separated by a colon, with additional columns separated by a comma. Example:                                    

    File Size:Size,Last Modified By:ModifiedBy
    

14. For Folder Custom Field Default Value, we should have the same value as the internal setting:

    SalesforceId:[Id]

    Again, this tells sFiles to look for the SalesforceId column inside SharePoint and then sets the Salesforce object's Id whenever and upload occurs.
15. In the Permissions field, set UploadFiles,DownloadFiles
16. For Salesforce Object Id Field, set SalesforceId (the name of the SharePoint column that contains the Salesforce record Id).
17. Click Save.

Add Default Components to Experience Cloud

Now that we have the Experience Cloud setting created, we can add this object to the Experience Cloud page layout. The Experience Cloud Lightning Web Components object requires the context's record Id, a SharePoint Object Settings Key (hashed name of the SharePoint Object Settings).

 

Get the SharePoint Object Settings Key

1. From Salesforce Setup, navigate to Apps | Packaging | Installed Packages, and click the Configure link next to the sFiles app.
2. In the wizard, click the Object Settings tab.
3. Under the Select Object Setting, find the Experience Cloud Object setting you created, and click Generate Unique Id.
4. Copy the generated Object Settings key.

Add Lightning Component to Experience Cloud Page Layout

1. Navigate to your Experience Cloud's Experience Builder.
2. Go to your record detail page.
3. Drag and drop the sFiles Uploader and sFiles List View into the appropriate locations on your Experience Cloud layouts.
4. In each of the components, set the Record Id field to the page's record Id (In Experience Cloud Record Detail page, this is {recordId}).
5. In each of the components, set the SharePoint Object Settings Key. This is the value we created earlier.
6. If the folder fails to load, make sure that the object's folder in SharePoint contains the Salesforce record Id in the SalesforceId column.

Default Component Properties

These are the App Builder properties available for the Experience Cloud component sFiles List View: 

Record Id (recordId)	The Salesforce record Id that this component instance should link to. If used within a normal Experience Cloud record context, this field is auto-populated. When embedding, be sure to manually specify this value from a tracked variable.
SharePoint Object Settings Key (uniqueId)	The encrypted SharePoint Object Settings metadata setting value.
Show Folders (showFolders)	A Boolean value, if selected, shows subfolders and allows Experience Cloud users to navigate into them.
Type (type)	Select one of the available values to change display type. Available values are List and Card.
Max Height (maxHeight)	The maximum height of the component in pixels.
Site Id Field (siteIdField)	(optional) The Salesforce field name on the record that contains the Id for Site. It overrides the default Site Id in the metadata object setting.
Document Library Id Field (documentLibraryIdField)	(optional) The Salesforce field name on the record that contains the Id for Document Library. It overrides the default Document Library Id in the metadata object setting.

sFiles Uploader

Record Id (recordId)	The Salesforce record Id that this component instance should link to. If used within a normal Experience Cloud record context, this field is auto-populated. When embedding, be sure to manually specify this value from a tracked variable.
SharePoint Object Settings Key (uniqueId)	The encrypted SharePoint Object Settings metadata setting value.
Show Folders (showFolders)	A Boolean value, if selected, shows subfolders and allows Experience Cloud users to navigate into them. NOTE: When checked on the sFiles Uploader component, files will be uploaded to the open folder in the uploader component.
Label (label)	Large text that appears above the uploader component.
Helptext (helptext)	Small text that appears above the uploader component.
Type (type)	If showing the list view within the Uploader component, select one of the available values. Available values are None, List, and Card.
Max Height (maxHeight)	The maximum height of the component in pixels.
Site Id Field (siteIdField)	(optional) The Salesforce field name on the record that contains the Id for Site. It overrides the default Site Id in the metadata object setting.
Document Library Id Field (documentLibraryIdField)	(optional) The Salesforce field name on the record that contains the Id for Document Library.  It overrides the default Document Library Id in the metadata object setting.

 

 

Advanced Implementation

For advanced implementation, the entire sFiles Experience Cloud API is available to view in sFiles' API Reference documentation (https://apidocs.sfiles.io/). This means that a Salesforce administrator could create his or her own Lightning Web Component and reference the API, making calls directly or programmatically.
