Prerequisites

• sFiles Winter '25 (1.55.x) or later installed.
  1. Visit sFiles on the AppExchange and click "Get it Now" to update to the latest version.

With the Winter '25 release, sFiles can now control permissions to sFiles operations using two distinct permission sets.

1. sFiles Admin Permissions - All permissions required for admins managing sFiles
2. sFiles User Permissions - All permissions required for users using sFiles

Steps to create or sync sFiles permission sets

1. Navigate to the sFiles Admin Panel
   1. (Salesforce Setup > Installed Packages > click 'Configure' next to sFiles)
2. Once in the Admin Panel, navigate to the Org Settings page.
3. You will see a card labeled sFiles Permission Sets.
   1. If the button reads Generate sFiles Permission Sets, the permission sets have not been created yet in your org.
      1. Click the button to create these permission sets. 

         NOTE: These permission sets are updated when the object setup wizard is run. Read and Write access is granted to the SharePoint Folder Id field on any object newly configured with sFiles.

   2. If the button reads Sync sFiles Permission Sets, the permission sets already exist in your org.
      1. You will only need to sync permission sets if you have manually changed the sFiles permission sets or manually updated sFiles Settings.
         1. In these cases, click the button to update the permission sets.

            NOTE: Salesforce may take some time to process and finalize the sFiles permission sets in your org. As a result, syncing permission sets may not be available anywhere from a couple minutes to a couple of days.
