Create Sharing Link Flow Action

With the release of sFiles Spring '25, sFiles offers a flow action, "Create SharePoint Sharing Link" that will create a SharePoint Sharing Link.

Prerequisites

sFiles Enterprise license
sFiles version 1.56 or later installed.
- Visit sFiles on the AppExchange and click "Get it Now" to update to the latest version.
You have followed sFiles setup guide to setup an object with sFiles (Brand new sFiles setup).

Steps to Configure

Add a Create SharePoint Sharing Link action to your flow.
Set action input variables. * = Required

Input Variables

See the below table for descriptions of each parameter.

Name	Description
Object Setting Label*	The label of the SharePoint Object Setting Custom Metadata used to complete the action. To find the label of your SharePoint Object Setting, go to Salesforce Setup > Custom Metadata Types > click "Manage Records" next to SharePoint Object Settings > Use the value in the "Label" column for your SharePoint Object Setting. Ex. Account
SharePoint Id*	The SharePoint Id of the file/folder you want to share. Ex. 01XLRJ892KEMNVY7T4ZQPHALM77REZWBFA
Document Library Id Override	The Id of the SharePoint Document Library where the file/folder is located. This will override the Document Library Id in the SharePoint Object Setting. Ex. b!a3D9jXp9LuUteRm9yFg7TP00BcAoF2yzLpMIUvH9WcLQFx9OmR-yzQ4_kZq6LpmXK
Link Expiration Date	(Optional) Set a date and time for when the sharing link will expire; By default, the link will not expire Example Date/Time Variable: 4/16/2025, 3:42 PM
Link Password	(Optional) Set a password for the sharing link; By default, the link will require a password Ex. StrongPassword12345
Link Recipients	(Optional) If the scope is set to "users", provide a collection of text variables of all the email addresses of desired users you would like to grant access to the sharing link. Example Text Variable: vader@empire.com
Link Scope	(Optional) Accepted values are "anonymous", "organization", or "users". "anonymous" allows anyone with link to access without signing in. "organization" allows only those signed into your tenant to use the link. "users" will only share the link with individual recipients and requires that the "link recipients" parameter of the flow action is populated. Ex. organization
Link Type	(Optional) The type of sharing link to create ("view" or "edit"); Defaults to "view". Ex. edit
Site Id Override	The Id of the SharePoint Site where the file/folder is located. This will override the Site Id in the SharePoint Object Setting. Ex. oscorp.sharepoint.com,5e3c4f21-8abc-4fd2-b197-9f57d203e7a1,bc12de34-45f7-4989-a654-88329ff4ab93

Output Variables

When the action successfully runs, it will return an Apex-Defined variable of the fileforcem1__FlowActionPayload_String class. See below for explanations of the available properties on this output class:

Name	Description
Error	A string of any errors that occurred during the action.
Item	A string of the Sharing Link returned. Ex. https://galacticarchives.sharepoint.com/:f:/g/research/EjLk9XZu7pPPzya83wmPqYYDp-7kU8xFmThH9P57lyx-RA?e=Y3x2TR
Success	A boolean that returns true if the action succeeds and false if it does not.
