By default, sFiles is designed to link to a single site/document library combination throughout the integration. With the Enterprise license, administrators can extend that functionality to specify a site/document library combination for each object, or even for an instance of the sFiles Enterprise component. See here for instructions on how to accomplish this.

In addition to custom site/document library at the object and instance level, administrators can allow for an end-user to select a site/document library/folder combination from directly within the sFiles Enterprise browser component.


This feature is especially useful if you have structured your SharePoint system to have a separate site per project, for instance. If you leverage Teams sites, this is also a crucial requirement for linking the site to a record in Salesforce.

Example Use Case:

The Contoso Corporation uses Microsoft Teams Sites (SharePoint Sites) to share files related to individual projects. Each project in Teams should have a Project__c record on a custom object in Salesforce. As part of their project setup process, a Contoso project manager:

1. Sets up a Teams site and adds team members
2. Creates a Project on a custom object in Salesforce
3. Links the Teams site document library to the project record from within sFiles.

Once this is done, Salesforce users can now see files that have been dropped into the Teams chat or place files there so they are available directly in Teams.

How to set it up in sFiles:

1. Create three custom text(255) fields on the object that you intend to link to the SharePoint site's Document Library Override, Root Folder Override, and Site Override and make sure any profiles that use sFiles can see it.

   1. NOTE: If you are setting this feature up on the 'Task' or 'Event' object, you will create this text field on the 'Activity' object

      
2. Be sure that you are using the sFiles Enterprise component on an Object record. In our example this is on the Project object. 
3. In the App Builder set the Site ID Field API Name to Site_Override__c,  Document Library Id Field API Name to Document_Library_Override__c, and Root Id Field API Name to Root_Folder_Override__c.
4. Scroll a little lower in the App Builder and set the Set Site / Document Library Selection Level to Site. This will cause sFiles to present the user with a site selection tool when the current Salesforce record is not linked to a SharePoint folder yet. 
5. In the Account Object Settings add in the Permissions  field SiteSelect.
